Pork chops and funnel cakes and carnies OH MY!! Happy Hog Days 2011 (despite what the shirt says) Thanks to everyone for their texts, emails and calls to check on us last week as Irene made her way through New England. We emerged unscathed and the power only flickered once so we consider ourselves pretty lucky. Honestly, the weather never got too bad here in Reading...just sheets of rain and some wind. Also, Easton is doing much better with his new non-swaddled sleep and formula though he's still spitting up some. We go back to the doctor this Tuesday to see if he reached his weight gain goal (20g/day). I think he has and so do his teachers at school but we'll see if the scale agrees. I'm on my back... WHOA...and now I'm on my tummy!!! (check out the video at the end of this blog to see how this might have happened) Slowly learning how to prop myself up with my arms :) Mommy and me :) We've had a very fun Labor Day (a.k.a. Bracing for Impact

Batten down the hatches it's been quite the action-packed week here and it seems there's more to come as Irene swirls her way up to New England. In my previous post I mentioned how Easton didn't look like he had grown too much and as they say "the pictures don't lie". Here were Little Homie's stats from his 2-month appt: Ht: 61cm (71st percentile) Wt: 5.4kg (33%) Head: 40.5cm (56%) Now here are his stats from his 4-month appt: Ht: 64cm (47%) Wt: 6.1kg (12%) Head: 42.5cm (45%) ...

Yeay for Snow!

Snow Day #2 here in Boston, MA and I'm looooving this!  Woke up early this AM in hopes our Air Base Commander would "do the right thing" and close the base - she didn't disappoint (thanks, Col Yike).  SO it was back to sleep for me for just a few more hours until our now " cauliflower head sized " son decided to dance a jig in my belly...needless to say I was UP!  BTW if any of you are interested, today is our 27th week - last one of the second trimester.  If not, well, now you know anyway :)  LOL Anyway, had a rather productive morning in my kitchen office.  I love the dress code and the cost of coffee at this office - anytime I can wear my favorite birthday present I'm a happy camper!  Knocked out a ton of little nitnoid tasks - you know, the ones you can't get done out in office space because someone wants "just a minute of your time" and then 45 minutes later they've finally decided to leave.  (One of the reasons I absolutely ref...
