Ch-Ch-Chatterbox!

On the 4th of July - getting ready to unload all the shoes from his closet Easton will be 27 months old on Tuesday and over the past few weeks his speech and ability to form "sentences" has blown us away!  The things that come out of his mouth are quite hilarious so Jace and I sat down the other day and made a quick list of all his funny phrases.  Here are some of our favorites: "Easton hepa you" -- > he needs one of us to help him "Not Mommy...Daddy" -- > loves Daddy and wants him at all times...very few exceptions "I go bye bye with Daddy in Daddy truck" -- > again...wants nothing to do with good old Mom "I get it for ya, OK?" -- > he ends most questions with "OK?" "Don't touch me/my (insert whatever I'm touching)"  "I need messininns" --> he needs his allergy medicine...messininns...so cute! Whenever asked a "why" question his response is "why not?"...

Happy Birthday, America -- and JT!

A creative way to mask the corner he'd already bitten off Happy Birthday, Jeff!! Jeffrey flew up to visit the Tomlinson/Anders for a 4th of July/early birthday weekend and his reward was boatloads of rain. We wanted to golf...it rained. We planned to hit the zoo...it rained. So we read lots of books, played in the house and ate and drank our way through the weekend.  On Friday night my parents took us all out to dinner at The Oakwood Club to celebrate JT's big day a few days early.  I think it's been decided that The Oakwood Club is our restaurant of choice for a nice evening out.  The fact you can make reservations and use a credit card puts it at a slight advantage over The Pine Club . Ever so slight though...                        Dad demonstrating one of his new bar tricks On Saturday night we had a "cookout" at home and celebrated JT's big day again with a Reese's cake from...

Bye, Bye, June

I have been so bad lately about getting pictures off my computer and up on the blog so here's a quick look at our last few days of June. Easton got his first fade. I'm less than thrilled...and will not be returning to the beauty school dropout at Great Clips on Dayton-Xenia. Probably not the lady's fault but I want to cry just looking at these pictures. Where'd my mullet-head little baby go?!? Look how depressed he is that he's gotta join the Marines now We also headed back to the park...and dominated THE BIG SLIDE (and a cute little green dinosaur) It was finally hot enough to get his Mickey gear on and head to the fountains at The Greene . I can't how much he's grown up since our first trip last Memorial Day . And I'll be back soon with a recap of our water-logged 4th of July/Mom & Dad "Welcome to Ohio"/Jeff's birthday weekend activities.  Have a great Sunday night! :)

Our Ten Year Anniversary

waiting for our flight in Cincinnati p.s. cincy has the best USO ever We did it! Well, that's what Easton would say anyway...but yes, we did.  Jace and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on June 21st and treated ourselves to an amazing five-night vacation at Sandals Emerald Bay in the Bahamas.  A huge thank you to our travel agent and friend Ketti Menne for the perfect recommendation! It was perfect. My parents were super troopers and watched Easton while we frolicked in paradise.  Our morning began at 0315 to catch our 0715 flight from Cincinnati.  We flew through Miami and landed in Exuma, Bahamas at 1130.  We were sipping our welcome champagne in the resort lobby by 1215. It was a beautiful thing. one fire truck. one blue tractor. one golf cart. welcome to exuma international airport! We checked in but our room wasn't quite ready. No worries because one, I had just pounded a champagne on an empty stomach and two, our butler appea...
