Happy Birthday, America -- and JT!

A creative way to mask the corner he'd already bitten off Happy Birthday, Jeff!! Jeffrey flew up to visit the Tomlinson/Anders for a 4th of July/early birthday weekend and his reward was boatloads of rain. We wanted to golf...it rained. We planned to hit the zoo...it rained. So we read lots of books, played in the house and ate and drank our way through the weekend.  On Friday night my parents took us all out to dinner at The Oakwood Club to celebrate JT's big day a few days early.  I think it's been decided that The Oakwood Club is our restaurant of choice for a nice evening out.  The fact you can make reservations and use a credit card puts it at a slight advantage over The Pine Club . Ever so slight though...                        Dad demonstrating one of his new bar tricks On Saturday night we had a "cookout" at home and celebrated JT's big day again with a Reese's cake from...

Happy Birthday, Bro & Silly Grandma Tricks

Who are you and what did you do with my Grandmother? My Mom flew in on Saturday afternoon (hi, Mom! - smile)...and then headed out for her midwest road trip this morning (bye, Mom - upside-down smile). There's never a dull moment while she's around though and we made the most of our 30 or so hours together...Easton's in love... Do what with my legs?? Ohhhh...kick 'em....  Yea! Yea! Yea! Silly Grandma tricks part 2. Teaching him to cross his arms and truly be a Little Homie...no quiiite there but working on it And now moving to the dinner portion of our evening.  Inspired by his BFF Jack Joseph, Easton gets after some sweet corn. Jury's still out but I think he likes it... Your thoughts? :) No evening is complete without a stroll around the 'hood And Grandma hit the turbocharger button and whooosh! OK so #photogfail on this shot but I thought I'd try the motion shot... I think I need another photography challenge to h...

Jeffy Pants Design House, Inc.

It's official - JT has finished teaching in the Dominican and is headed back to the Mile High City! He stopped off for a few days here in the good 'ole midwest to visit his nephew but sadly Easton welcomed him home with the toddler's version of the middle finger  (thank goodness he hasn't learned the adult version...yet). Though Jeff's feelings were hurt I am actually pretty pumped the scenario played out this way becaaaause Jeff Pants Design kicked into high-gear (sorry, that was so "all about me")! Inspired by our new favorite late-morning show (love u, Nate) we got our home design on -- hello HomeGoods, Lowe's and Goodwill! Though we're no Spanky and Mel Leonard we found some great bargains and he helped turn our new house into a home!  Check it out... We started here -- camping chairs, no curtains and DirecTV And then we welcomed this beauty into our lives... And "voila"! Just some fun punches of color but I...

Love You, Uncle Jeff!

Watch out, Mama's found Photoshop Express online... Our week wasn't much to write about but that's OK because our weekend made up for it! Jeff broke away from the sunny  DR  and came to Boston for a visit. We logged some serious hours with little man...and when he was sleeping some serious hours on the couches. JT was the perfect playmate -- I don't think I've heard Easton laugh so much in his 9.5 months!! He was Super Uncle and I'm so sad to see him go tomorrow...morning...0400...love ya, Little Bro ;) Here's the weekend in pictures SO MUCH FUN! Instant BFFs - Mom was old news at this point (yea, it's 8:30 AM) Having a heart-to-heart about why wall outlets aren't toys Easton likes Diesel, too Fun "sketch" edit Look at the happiness on this kid's face!! And on this kid's face, too ;) Easton's favorite book "Where's Dave" Rae's favorite treat...anything on Easton...
