Rewind...McChesney Visit 2013

Hello, again...hello. So it's been a hot minute since my last post but there's a lot going on here in the Anders household and with eSmallz hittin the hay closer to 8 p.m. these days I'm truly runnin' outta daylight. It also didn't help that I got laser-focused on a tasker for Auntie Sherry but I'm pretty pumped about how that turned out so no complaints! Anyway, I had to get our last visit from Team McChesney ( minus one this time ) on the books so let me take ya'll (yes, you + all = ya'll -- much more efficient when typing) back a few weeks to a fun-filled weekend.  Ah...those were the days... Wayne and Sherry arrived on Thursday the 18th and we immediately put the pedal to the metal -- puzzles with crazy Uncle Wayne!  I got home a bit late from work to the announcement that Easton had peed on the potty for Auntie Sherry!  Um. AWESOME. Too bad it was a one-off and the feat is still yet to be repeated... :( You can barely notice but E'...

To the Zoo!

During our office's Monday planning meeting it never fails that the boss asks each of us about what we did over the weekend...and that's where I get all our ideas about how to entertain Easton the following weekend.  These ideas are generally courtesy of JJ Futey or Sam Mink because their families definitely know how to make the most of a weekend (and why come up with my own ideas when I'm surrounded by these parenting pros)!! So... enter the Futey/Mink suggestion...the Columbus Zoo ! The zoo is huge (as you can see above) and also has a water park and other rides attached to it.  If it weren't such a long drive we'd probably go every weekend!  On a side note, the zoo is up near Dublin, OH ...another "I could live there" city.  That now makes my total "ICLT" cities probably close to 50...should make retirement interesting. Moving on...moving on... OK so, like I said, the zoo is huge.  They had so many different animals that we left the...
