Potty Training

When the weather looks like this... Might as well try to tackle this... holiday-appropriate reading materials required Jace and I are trying to transition E away from the "monkey #5's" (his beloved Luvs size 5 -- they have a monkey on them) before I head out in December so we gave the " Potty Train in a Weekend " a solid one-day effort. Neither one of us can stand being cooped up in the house for that long so we kinda failed on the Day 2 follow through but that's ok.  We had fun setting the timer and giving E fruit snacks all day.  He did a pretty good job with only a few accidents and one "I've gotta go potty" success (and another #2 tragedy while I was out at yoga -- sorry, Daddy). Here are a few shots from our day:

Deuces!!

If you ask Easton how old he is he will respond "deuces" and throw his hand up in the air with a peace sign!  All credit goes to Jace and his hard-knocks upbringing in St. Louis Park -- Easton's now the most ghetto two year old in Beavercreek, OH. (I'm laughing fairly hard right now). As his second birthday draws to a close it's hard to believe we've been so blessed by this adorable little human for two full years!!  It's unreal to listen to him recite his "A, B, C's"... And listen to him count to 10 (ish)...sometime with a "quatro" thrown in for good measure The time has flown by so quickly but then again the seems to have ticked away at a beautifully perfect pace.  I'm hoping it has to do with how much I've been documenting our lives or maybe with all the moves it's easy for me to segment the time...regardless, life is good! Happy 2nd Birthday, Easton!! This year's celebration was much more s...

What's Goin' On??

Well Team Anders has been having a whole lotta fun lately...but I've been miserably lazy about writing about them so here's my mega recap of the last month and a half. Hope you're settled in because there's a lot to tell...and more importantly, lots of pictures!!! I'll start first with Easton's 15-month well baby exam (17 Jul 12). Our first experience with Wright Patt Medical Center was great and we're happy with his pediatrician -- so far. Easton's continuing to grow right on track but we're still giving him his iron supplements until 18 months -- works for me b/c it meant we didn't have to stick a needle in his arm that day to accompany the vaccine in his leg. His weight was 23 lbs (29%), height was 31.25 in (52%) and his head circumference was 48.5 cm (83%)... Medium height, skinny kiddo with a huge melon! Later that week good ole Grams rolled in to Dayton and we were on the fast track to Fun Town. See??? F-U-N... Whooosh! OK, yea, ...
