Mother's Day #2 and Easton's Solo Walk!

LOVE YOU, MOM!!! I've been quite a lucky girl lately because I've had the opportunity to spend such a large amount of time with my mama! I don't remember the last time we've been able to be together like this and it's been wonderful...more than wonderful but I'm vocabularily challenged so wonderful is the best I can do at the moment. See? "vocabularily" isn't even a word :) We've had a great week here in our temporary housing and I can't believe we only have four days left.  I'm hoping I can just renew our reservation indefinitely but sadly I think my request will be denied. I mean where else can you crash for $50/day in a furnished 2BR house with a yard AND cleaning crew? We're taking full advantage of the last perk as we've had some epic dinners over the week...Little Homie likes pasta, tomato sauce and hummus...none of which make for an easy cleanup! I started work on Wednesday so Mom was on full-time Eas...

Full Throttle

Unfortunately I don't get to wear a sweet bandana like this to work...nor could I figure out how to even put it on in such a cute and functional way I'm exhausted...I need a weekend from my weekend, I think. :) Lots going on here in Boston - nothing I didn't ask for so I won't complain but I would like to go on record and say that I think I'm just about to my max capacity. Also..." Mommy Guilt " is a biotch. Though I'm not struggling to set an example for a daughter as the "Mommy Guilt" article touches on, I'm struggling terribly with striking a work/family balance right now. It's absolutely maddening...I need a mentor...a woman with eagles on her shoulders with little kiddos at home...I wanna know her secret to success...but none to be found. Bummer. Guess I did complain a little bit, sorry :( Now that I've got that off my chest I'll transition into the happy, fluffy part of my weekly updates of our adventures. ...

Veteran's Day Weekend 2011

Happy Veteran's Day 2011 (Found this on our walk) Whew what a FUN weekend we just wrapped up...and a calorically intense one as well I must add (me and the Minuteman Trail have a serious date tomorrow). A belated Happy Veteran's Day to all of you readers out there who have or are currently serving this great Nation! Jace is celebrating the holiday the same way he has for the past four or five years... in Las Vegas playing for the Hanscom Eagles at the  Armed Service Hockey Classic . To keep us company for the three-day weekend, Grandma Bon and Grandpa Doug came out to visit Easton and me. This is a long post so I'll hit you with the upfront Cliff's Notes video if you're just swinging by for a second: START THESIS: Mom & Dad arrived on Friday on their usual red-eye/early morn JetBlue flight from Phoenix and were at the apartment by 0730 (they're travel pros now on the Logan Express bus). First order of business was lots of Baby Smallz time for Gran...
