Watch Me Grow...11 Months

11 months, 1 day old. Look at those baby blues - LOVE :) Last photo shoot before Easton will be smearing his 1st birthday cake all over his face. Seriously? So at this point our little Smallz is weighing in around 21 lbs, not sure how tall (we'll get that next month). He's wearing mostly 12 month clothes but the pants are still a little long. His upper front two teeth have broken through his gums but you can only see him when he's flipped upside down. Yea, he's going through this wacky phase where he throws his head back all the time and likes to stay that way - must get that weirdness from his dad b/c I'm perfectly normal (just sayin'). He's cautiously working his way to his first steps...has taken a few but at this point they're more protective measures so he doesn't bounce his face off the floor more than actual steps...but they're cute nonetheless. And I hear ya, no rush here to have him start walking just letting you know what goe...

Sleepy Baby, Lazy Mommy

Hi everyone! Not thrilled about this post tonight -- not my best work :( All week Easton's been falling asleep in the car on the way home from daycare and I've been beyond lazy about taking photos (probably didn't help that I had to work yesterday). So here's a fun little comparison shot of how big the Little Homie's getting...hence last week's request for car seat top picks and my recent Facebook request for bigger car recommendations! Dang these little fellers grow fast!!! 3 days old... 10 months, 1 week... On the "new job" front I received my assignment notice on Tuesday with a report date no later than 11 May 12 so let the flurry of PCS preparations commence! Jace isn't locked in 100% with a job at Wright Patt yet but all signs are pointing towards employment ;) Keeping the faith that all will work out for us! Helping us move into a new place will be a great project for my Mom while her sailor heads off on his next Navy adventure this...

Watch Me Grow...7 Months

7 months? Really? We missed the actual day yesterday b/c Homie wasn't having anything to do with being awake between the hours of 5:30 PM and 5:30 AM - but, no worries, I got him tonight. Check out our growing little man... Not a whole lot of physical change between the months but he's getting SO much better at sitting up! 16 lbs., 9 oz and 27.6 in (10% & 55% percentiles) Such a happy little dude..   Can't wait to tell you all about my crazy week...all I've gotta say is Good Start and I are NOT friends Mom, I'm done with this pose...next... My Daddy still cracks my mess up with the crazy high-pitched songs he sings... Uh oh...wheels are falling off... Remember the cues, Mom? OK, you ignored them now pay the price!! Photo shoot comes to an abrupt halt ;) More this weekend, peace out my homies ;)

Watch Me Grow...6 Months

Holy whaaaat?!? It's been 6 months since Easton was born...unreal!! So check out little Smallz on his 1/2 birthday. We went to the doctor on Wednesday for his six-month wellness exam and here are his stats: Weight: 16 lbs (17th percentile) Height: 27 in (59%) Head Circumference: 16.6 in (82%) Upgraded to the size 6mo onesie... Sitting up in Mommy's favorite chair He's been doing this "crunch" thing for weeks

25th Percentile!

Happy Sunday everyone :) It's an absolutely beautiful day here in Boston...not many of these left so I'll make this one quick. Thanks to everyone for writing to ask how Easton's weight is progressing. Jace took him to the clinic for another weight check last Monday and he weighed 15 lbs, 8 oz landing him squarely in the 25th percentile for weight. He gained a full pound in the two weeks since his last weigh in (in which he weighed 14 lbs, 7 oz and 10th percentile). So the addition of the 10 PM bottle and the two servings of rice cereal per day have been a smashing success ;) He's been quite the trooper this week as he's battled his first cough...sounds like a total smoker...cough, cough, cough, red face, look of "what the heck was that, Mom?", throw in an occasional sneeze or burp, then back to smiley. This kid rocks! He's also checked pears, apples and b-a-n-a-n-a-s  off his list of new foods (sorry but Gwen Stefani has forever altered how I say that ...
