Easton at 1 month and 12 months It was a super rainy day here today and as Jace and I were trying to entertain a whiney little boy this morning it dawned on me that I hadn't taken Easton's 12 month pictures (he's got two more upper teeth coming in and he's a hot mess)! I have been so focused on his first birthday that I actually forgot about the stickers until just this morning...oops! So in order to properly close the year of stickers here's Easton's 12 month photos...sadly, I've run out of steam with this project (just look at how lazily I put on the sticker...nope...it isn't straight) so please forgive the lack of creativity in these shots. 11 months, 1 day old. Look at those baby blues - LOVE :) Last photo shoot before Easton will be smearing his 1st birthday cake all over his face. Seriously? So at this point our little Smallz is weighing in around 21 lbs, not sure how tall (we'll get that next month). He's wearing mostly 12 month clothes but the pants are still a little long. His upper front two teeth have broken through his gums but you can only see him when he's flipped upside down. Yea, he's going through this wacky phase where he throws his head back all the time and likes to stay that way - must get that weirdness from his dad b/c I'm perfectly normal (just sayin'). He's cautiously working his way to his first steps...has taken a few but at this point they're more protective measures so he doesn't bounce his face off the floor more than actual steps...but they're cute nonetheless. And I hear ya, no rush here to have him start walking just letting you know what goe...

19 Feb 12 - 10 months, 2 days old ~21 lbs and wearing mostly 12 month old clothes (some pants are too big) Easton turned 10 months old last Wednesday but we didn't get around to having our full-on photo shoot until his schedule opened up yesterday morning. He and his assistant have been so busy walking all over the house and when he finally slows down for a minute, well, then he's always yapping with someone so I feel bad interrupting. Things I think he may be talking about but can't quite make sense of his sentences yet: How his assistant is so helpful but starting to annoy him so he might go solo soon Wondering what these two, hard white things are emerging from his upper gums - ouch Impressed with the increased accuracy of Cheerios getting into his mouth now that he can use his pointer finger and thumb together How rad his new little StrideRite's are...oh yea...size 4m...no big deal Ha!! Seriously though, so much going on here and Easton continues to ...

Photo session? Nah, I'm out... It's time for our toothless wonder's monthly update...really? already? Dang, that month sure flew by but I guess a move, Christmas, New Years, a birthday and ski trip fills the time quite nicely. We had to mix the backdrops up from our previous "shoots"  because, well, sitting still is old news...it's all about crawling and standing this month! Our little Dennis the Menace...love that blonde tuft of hair :) 9 Months - Weight: 8.75 kg/19.3 lbs (75%), Length: 71.5cm/28.1in (75%)  Head Circumference: 46cm/18.1 in (95%) Easton's vocabulary now consists of lots of "dadadadada" and "mamamama" neither of which are directed at either one of us in particular. We're also teaching him  baby sign language  - 'mommy', 'daddy', 'milk', 'eat', 'drink', 'water', 'all done'. He doesn't know what we're doing yet besides looking like crazy people...
