Off to the doctor for 2 week checkup Two weeks down and we're growing!  Easton had his first pediatrician appointment on Friday and was given a clean bill of health :)  Everything's healthy with our "little homie" (yes, that's the nickname that Jace and I are currently subjecting Easton to - quite endearing if you ask me!)  The doctor examined him from head to toe and he was such a trooper.  Happy to report that he has gained 10 oz. since April 20th and now weighs 8 lbs, 2 oz., is 20.2 in long and his head is 14.69 in around.  He's just a little peanut, checking in at 34th percentile for weight and 35th percentile for length (all percentiles from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) charts).  His head size puts him in the 56th percentile...thanks, Jace, at least we can count on his pumpkin being a little larger!!  ;)  Also on the health front, Easton's circ is all healed and his umbilical cord fell out on Friday so we can now start using our c...

Hi all, here's a quick "sneak peek" from Easton's photo shoot on Friday.  Such a cutie!! E's first USAFA gear So they say "time flies when you're having fun"... well it also flies when you're avoiding projectile poop and hot springs of urine from an infant!  Jace and I have had a roller coaster week but all-in-all it's been pretty great.  E's been a very easy baby so far (yes, my knuckles are bleeding from knocking on wood) - eats, sleeps, and POOPS right in line with the scouting report.  During the last week we've had numerous friends drop in w/food and endless offers to help with this and that...it's quite wonderful to know we have such a strong support system here with our Hanscom family.  LOVE YOU GUYS!  As for the other things we've been up to, well, I thought I'd just show you in a 6 minute video.  This will probably be very boring to 95% of you but I had fun learning how to use iMovie '09 on our MacBook and am well aware that I shouldn't quit my day job ;) Enjoy and hope everyone has a Happy Easter tomorrow!...

Easton Douglas Anders - 3 days old More pictures @ http://www.our365.com/ He's here, he's here!!!  Jace and I welcomed our son Easton Douglas to the world this past Saturday, April 16th at 4:22 PM and we couldn't be more proud.  It was an awesome experience...not so much in the "incredibly cool, can't wait to do it again" context but genuinely in AWE of how mother nature and modern medicine can work together to ease a woman and efficiently deliver a baby.  Before I tell you all a little bit about our story (again, no worries, I won't blast all the nitty gritty across your screen) I must say a HUGE thank you to our staff at Winchester Hospital.  Though I know not a single of of those doctors, nurses and other staff members will read this they will forever hold a special place in our hearts for the outstanding service and love they showed all three of us!!  They exceeded any expectations Jace and I might have had and just had to throw that out there. ...
