Happy Birthday, Mr. President

Date day. We both wore jeans. Whaaaat?!? This was my Project 365 shot today -- #best_dressed. HA! Thank you George Washington (and all you other presidents) for the day off today!! Jace and I had a wonderful time with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence  while Easton played with his friends at school. After the movie we cruised around The Greene where I shopped but didn't buy anything and Jace got himself a new jersey. Yes. Another one.  I have such a hard time buying clothes any more...unless I'm at Kohl's with a 30% off coupon totally stoked about how much I've "saved"! Regardless where I shop the clothes just end up hanging in my closet with no where to go. But anyway, let me tell you about our week/weekend. The week was long...really long...but Jace became an ordained minister so there's that... McChesney wedding here we come... I'm not sure whether the press pass or parking permit made me laugh harder But you've got to love ...

We Love You

Happy Valentine's Day, Little Homie. Can't believe how much you've grown in a year -- or that you're getting books from Auntie Sherry on potty training!! Happy Hearts Day, everyone. Yep. People totally call this day "Hearts Day"...what rock have you been living under? My first foray into using brushes -- and Easton's first adventure in filling out cheap valentines from the grocery store. sorry everyone at daycare...you're lucky i even remembered to buy these...though in my mind they look like this Look at this stellar penmanship...he gets it from his grandfather We opened his gifts last night because, well, why not? Thanks Grandma & Grandpa and Auntie Sherry & The Original He just reads this and is potty trained, right? Of course, he picks up the wrong book. C'mon, man! OK, OK, that's enough of that sitting still business. Let's play, Dad! Hope you all -- yea, all 7 of you reading this -- have...

Chocolate Easter Eggs & Red Shades

The Easter chocolates that once were... Hope everyone out there had a wonderful Easter/Masters Sunday (all religions welcome here on this blog)!  Jace is in  Philadelphia, MS  with his dad and the Rodgers men at their annual Grudge Match golf trip so Easton and I were holding it down here at home. Easton and I celebrated in our own ways...he with a sweet four hour nap this morning and me by eating all the Fannie Mae chocolate eggs Auntie Sherry and Uncle Wayne sent us while waiting around for him to wake up from what is usually an hour and a half nap. He was the winner today. We laid low most of the weekend except for a quick trip to the mall on Saturday morning. FYI, the mall doesn't open until 10:00 AM on Saturdays. I figured that out after nearly losing my mind prying our massive stroller out of my tiny trunk in the Burlington Mall parking lot. Once I wedged that beast back in we took a detour to iParty to pick up a few things for the big 1st birt...

Our Little Valentine

Jace and I don't do Valentine's Day...except for the year of the "hand card" and I think that's the year that did us in. Inside joke, sorry. This year we still won't be doing anything for the Hallmark holiday buuuut that doesn't mean that our family didn't want to spoil our little man. Check out these shots of little eSmallz getting spoiled with some McChesney Valentine's Day love! Thanks so much Auntie Sherry and Uncle Wayne -- and sorry we opened them a bit early, we just couldn't resist!! Of course I'll be your valentine, Auntie Sherry!!! No, seriously, Dad, I still don't know what you want me to do with this Oh...just rip it? That's all...uh... Yea I can do that! Thanks for the help - promise I'll figure this out real soon Books!!! Yeay!!! Spot books. So cute. Perfect for us :) And oh so tasty, too! ;) Uncle DK helping Easton read Spot. Adorable. In other news, Easton's got ...
