Rewind...McChesney Visit 2013

Hello, again...hello. So it's been a hot minute since my last post but there's a lot going on here in the Anders household and with eSmallz hittin the hay closer to 8 p.m. these days I'm truly runnin' outta daylight. It also didn't help that I got laser-focused on a tasker for Auntie Sherry but I'm pretty pumped about how that turned out so no complaints! Anyway, I had to get our last visit from Team McChesney ( minus one this time ) on the books so let me take ya'll (yes, you + all = ya'll -- much more efficient when typing) back a few weeks to a fun-filled weekend.  Ah...those were the days... Wayne and Sherry arrived on Thursday the 18th and we immediately put the pedal to the metal -- puzzles with crazy Uncle Wayne!  I got home a bit late from work to the announcement that Easton had peed on the potty for Auntie Sherry!  Um. AWESOME. Too bad it was a one-off and the feat is still yet to be repeated... :( You can barely notice but E'...

Happy Birthday, America -- and JT!

A creative way to mask the corner he'd already bitten off Happy Birthday, Jeff!! Jeffrey flew up to visit the Tomlinson/Anders for a 4th of July/early birthday weekend and his reward was boatloads of rain. We wanted to golf...it rained. We planned to hit the zoo...it rained. So we read lots of books, played in the house and ate and drank our way through the weekend.  On Friday night my parents took us all out to dinner at The Oakwood Club to celebrate JT's big day a few days early.  I think it's been decided that The Oakwood Club is our restaurant of choice for a nice evening out.  The fact you can make reservations and use a credit card puts it at a slight advantage over The Pine Club . Ever so slight though...                        Dad demonstrating one of his new bar tricks On Saturday night we had a "cookout" at home and celebrated JT's big day again with a Reese's cake from...

We Are Family!

yes the "moo" was off for take-off and landing...kinda... It's hard to believe it's already been one week since eSmallz and I hopped on an "airpane, fly in the sky" destined for Atlanta.  Now that he's going to bed closer to 8pm my photo editing/blogging/eating chocolate on the couch time has been reduced by an hour every night...good for the chocolate binging, B-A-D for keeping this blog current! But better late than never in this case so let me proceed.  I wish I were a better writer so I could more eloquently express the joy, happiness and love Easton and I both experienced over the way-too-quick weekend with the Tomlinson side of our family.  My heart almost exploded as I watched Easton and his "gate gamma" meet for the first time and it was quite wonderful to hug her and my aunts, uncles and cousins myself after way too many years! Our weekend was beautiful despite the steady rain that camped out over the area for 48 straight hours....
