Veteran's Day Weekend 2011

Happy Veteran's Day 2011 (Found this on our walk) Whew what a FUN weekend we just wrapped up...and a calorically intense one as well I must add (me and the Minuteman Trail have a serious date tomorrow). A belated Happy Veteran's Day to all of you readers out there who have or are currently serving this great Nation! Jace is celebrating the holiday the same way he has for the past four or five years... in Las Vegas playing for the Hanscom Eagles at the  Armed Service Hockey Classic . To keep us company for the three-day weekend, Grandma Bon and Grandpa Doug came out to visit Easton and me. This is a long post so I'll hit you with the upfront Cliff's Notes video if you're just swinging by for a second: START THESIS: Mom & Dad arrived on Friday on their usual red-eye/early morn JetBlue flight from Phoenix and were at the apartment by 0730 (they're travel pros now on the Logan Express bus). Splish, Splash!

The pool @ Hanscom - not bad actually Two weeks ago we tried to sign Easton up for swim lessons but were disappointed to hear that the class was full. Bumma...but I stuck our name on the wait list anyway. Fast forward to last Thursday. The pool manager called to tell me two people had dropped out. BAM!! Little Homie's going to learn himself how to swim! ;) So for the next five Saturdays if you need to find us we'll be at the pool -  definitely going to be some 'p' in that 'ool'. ;) Props to my hubby - and he even commented on how good the light was...ata boy, Jace! If ya'll didn't know, brushing our hair on Saturday is optional As for yesterday's lesson, Easton did pretty well considering the water was only about 82 degrees. Great if you're swimming laps - not so great if you're a 6 1/2 month old baby (or a 30-something year old parent - both of us were cold, too). The "class" consisted of a lot of singing and swoo...
