Grandma and Grapes Tomlinson recently discovered a great state park about 40 minutes from Dayton called Buck Creek State Park.  Grams, in particular, wouldn't stop raving about the lake and the significant rock-throwing opportunities so we headed over last weekend (I think it was last weekend -- I can't hardly remember my own name these days).  Fun times.

When the weather looks like this... Might as well try to tackle this... holiday-appropriate reading materials required Jace and I are trying to transition E away from the "monkey #5's" (his beloved Luvs size 5 -- they have a monkey on them) before I head out in December so we gave the " Potty Train in a Weekend " a solid one-day effort. Neither one of us can stand being cooped up in the house for that long so we kinda failed on the Day 2 follow through but that's ok.  We had fun setting the timer and giving E fruit snacks all day.  He did a pretty good job with only a few accidents and one "I've gotta go potty" success (and another #2 tragedy while I was out at yoga -- sorry, Daddy). 1140 miles in 50 hours but DANG was it worth it!                                   While Grapes Dean and Easton held it down back in Ohio, Jace and I hit the road for Vernon, NY to witness our friends Meg Ryan and Ben Thomas tie the knot in a beautiful Friday afternoon ceremony. Meg and her dad. Beautiful! The scenery was gorgeous and Meg looked amazing :) We were also thrilled to meet up with our other dear friends the Fosters, LDK and Ruuuben (don't know where that dang ".." key is for the 'u', buddy). This woman never takes a bad picture. Promise. Sure do love these ladies!!
