Batten down the hatches it's been quite the action-packed week here and it seems there's more to come as Irene swirls her way up to New England. It's so crazy to think that we're "bracing" ourselves for a hurricane when six months ago I was writing about the potential feet of snow about to pummel the area . Here's the latest forecast as of this post: www.weather.com  As I mentioned there was a LOT that happened this week so be warned this is going to be a long entry - maybe grab a full cup of coffee and settle in ;) Let me take you all back to Monday and Easton's 4-month check up. In my previous post I mentioned how Easton didn't look like he had grown too much and as they say "the pictures don't lie". 19 Aug 11 - 4 months and 3 days old Hi friends & family! I'm a little late to post little man's 4-month photo shoot, sorry about that ;) Though you can't really see a huge physical difference from last month the developmental differences are huge. Easton is babbling up a storm and is no longer content to just sit in his swing and observe the world around him. He enjoys sitting up (still propped up by a pillow or his Boppy) so he can look around like a big kid. It no longer looks like he's rocking out at a metal concert while he's sitting in his Bumbo chair...he holds that huge dome up quite nicely. :) When on his back he's constantly doing what looks like the start of a situp which I can only assume will turn into him either rolling over or sitting up in a few months. He's been struggling a little bit with digesting the solid foods I gave him last week so I've backed off of that and will try again in another two weeks or so...poor little dude h...

17 weeks and still no hair :/ Hello from cloudy and drizzly Boston, MA. The Team is finally reunited..."and it feels so good" (thanks Peaches & Herb !) So before we plow through multiple loads of laundry--the glorious result of Mr. Anders' two-week trip--I wanted to post a quick update on our past week. We've had three big firsts...first "parent-teacher conference", first artwork and first solid food. I may have jumped the gun with the last of these "firsts" but my curiosity got the best of me. :) After ice painting, experimenting with warm/cold water and learning to hold things...wow, what a workout for E! Easton's been attending daycare at the CDC since June 6th and this was Room 10's first round of parent-teacher conferences we got to participate in. Beautiful Friday sunset One week down, one week to go until Jace gets home from Dayton. He's having a lot of fun cruising around our old stompin' grounds and we're keeping busy here. Our week here consisted of the same-ole', same-'ole so I won't bore you to death with the details. A few highlights include me taking/passing my first Air Command and Staff College test on Thursday, a "work from home" day on Friday (E got the boot from the CDC on Thurs afternoon - low fever/goop in his eye) and a fabulous dinner last night with Deanna Pieper , Gregg Flynn, and Brent and Lisa Olson  @ Lucca in the North End. After being cooped up in the apartment for the majority of the week getting out for some adult time was wonderful. It was St. Agrippina di Mineo Feast and there were people EVERYWHERE so it was very crowded but also what I've come to expect during the summer feasts in the North End. Thx again for the invite, D!
