| The Easter chocolates that once were... |
Hope everyone out there had a wonderful Easter/Masters Sunday (all religions welcome here on this blog)! Jace is in
Philadelphia, MS with his dad and the Rodgers men at their annual Grudge Match golf trip so Easton and I were holding it down here at home. Easton and I celebrated in our own ways...he with a sweet four hour nap this morning and me by eating all the Fannie Mae chocolate eggs Auntie Sherry and Uncle Wayne sent us while waiting around for him to wake up from what is usually an hour and a half nap. He was the winner today.
We laid low most of the weekend except for a quick trip to the mall on Saturday morning. FYI, the mall doesn't open until 10:00 AM on Saturdays. I figured that out
after nearly losing my mind prying our massive stroller out of my tiny trunk in the Burlington Mall parking lot. Once I wedged that beast back in we took a detour to iParty to pick up a few things for the big 1st birthday right around the corner (I made Easton cover his eyes so everything will be a surprise...no worries). I've got some high hopes for my inner Martha...I'm going to try to decorate this "
One Step Wonder" cake with
Kevin & Amanda's "THE BEST Chocolate Cake" I did a trial run of a few weeks ago. Good news is, if the decor is a fail the cake is heavenly. My Aunt Nancy said it best, "Anything with a cup of oil and a cup of sour cream HAS to be good". It is.
Alright well I'm up about 30 minutes past my bedtime and owe you all some photos but first I need to ask my fellow parents out there a quick question. We're on our last can of formula (hooray!) but now I'm struggling to figure out what to do about Easton's breakfast in the morning. He's up at 0600, out the door with Jace at 0650 and school by 0700. They eat school breakfast around 0730 so I'm thinking, what, a few ounces of milk and some banana pieces or something? Just curious what you all do if you care to share.
Ok now pictures :)

No worries, we made it back to the mall! $2 @ Children's Place...inspired by Uncle Jeff |

Loving his sippy cup! Also, he looks like an inmate, but he's not. |
 |
| And that's enough, Mom. |
 |
Just a fun shot to compare how big he's grown since September |

Ok not such a well staged food shot but here it is... our first Easter dinner :) Honeybaked Ham & Scalloped Potatoes = Yum! |

| Already posted on Facebook but it was too cute to leave out |

| Homie loves him some bath time |

| Constantly digging for something in that cup |

| The End :) |
ali- about the breakfast thing. talk to his teachers about the timing thing cause as soon as he turns one, he won't be getting breakfast until 8:15. but we've always just given the girls some milk and either a yogurt or bananas to get them through till then. *Em
