| You've been warned. |
I've been falling behind on the posts of late. It's probably because every time I get to my Blogger home page to start one I see new posts from some of the fabulous bloggers I follow and BAM! there went another hour of my life. Thanks,
Sydney,
Mel &
Nat the Fat Rat. I'm constantly using these talented women for inspiration on photography, parenting...and admiring their fashion from afar because I'm beyond a lost cause. I shop at Kohl's and wear camouflage four days a week.
So anywhoo...most of the five people who read this blog are most interested in what we've been up to with the little man so let's get started. We've been on a quest to find a substitute for the long (relatively speaking) drive to swim lessons which ended a few months ago. Easton really enjoyed the
Gymboree class with Team Locallo so I wanted to find something like that around here. So we went to a trial class at
GymQuest Sports Academy last Saturday. Mission Accomplished...we had SO much fun!!

| And then we rolled it forward and he did a face-plant. Graceful. |
 |
| Who knew frisbees could be so much fun? |

| USA 2025 |
Sunday was a typical Team Anders Sunday...football and football. Easton hasn't figured out yet that the main idea on these sundays is to just sit on the couch until a permanent butt indentation is made. So...he played in the refrigerator, ate some crayons and attempted to put on his own "a-shoos".
 |
| Ma! How cool! This door slams, too! (sigh) |

| White crayons. A lesser-known member of the fats & sweets food group. |
 |
| A-shoos. Must have his "a-shoos" on at all times |
 |
| Gettin' there little homie! |
Fast forward through what I'm convinced was the LONGEST WEEK EVER to this fabulous weekend.
 |
| Yep. That's how I felt...on Wednesday.... |
 |
| Best remedy for a loooong week |
We've had two beautiful fall days this weekend and packed in lots of family fun. Despite the fact that Easton's been battling his first ear infection most of the week and a fever since Friday we got out an about. Jace squeezed in a round of golf on Saturday morning while E and I hit the park. Once Jace returned from the course we packed it up and headed out to
Carriage Hill MetroPark in Huber Heights.
At this park there is a huge pond, a historic working farm (we missed the blacksmithing lesson by a few hours -- Jace was crushed) and lots of farm animals. The scenery was gorgeous and all the nerds (myself included) were out in full force with cameras in tow. Here's a glimpse into our Saturday afternoon...but before we get started I'd like to offer my man some props. Yesterday was the first day he wore jeans on the weekend for...well...months. :) Great job, Jace, I couldn't be more proud!

Chickens...or roosters...they're easier to identify when the iPad tells me what they are |

This red barn background makes me feel like a pro. I'm not. Ref #bigfatfamilyphotofail above |

| Both bite. |
 |
| Time to leave the farm... |
 |
| ...to go throw rocks! |
 |
| Still holding out hope... |
So that brings us back to Sunday...football and football. The sitting still thing is still a long way off so we combated the energy with a visit with the
Three Sisters at Sugarcreek MetroPark.
So that's a quick wrap of our last two weeks...or should I say weekends? The weeks are all the same...get up, breakfast, drop E off at Rainbow, work, work, work, see Easton for an hour, sleep, repeat. Hope you all have had a wonderful weekend and Veteran's Day today!
Well I for one love your blog and really enjoy reading/looking at it!! :)
ReplyDeleteYour picture of Easton throwing rocks in the water is so awesome...love how you capture the rocks going in the water. Love the one with Easton by the barn too! Also, love the one of you and him on the couch...SO cute! His little sweater is darling too.
Aw thanks, Mel! Same with yours...love watching your kiddos grow from afar and dream of moving into the house just down the street ;) Some day...
