Ch-Ch-Chatterbox!

On the 4th of July - getting ready to
unload all the shoes from his closet
Easton will be 27 months old on Tuesday and over the past few weeks his speech and ability to form "sentences" has blown us away!  The things that come out of his mouth are quite hilarious so Jace and I sat down the other day and made a quick list of all his funny phrases.  Here are some of our favorites:

  • "Easton hepa you" -- > he needs one of us to help him
  • "Not Mommy...Daddy" -- > loves Daddy and wants him at all times...very few exceptions
  • "I go bye bye with Daddy in Daddy truck" -- > again...wants nothing to do with good old Mom
  • "I get it for ya, OK?" -- > he ends most questions with "OK?"
  • "Don't touch me/my (insert whatever I'm touching)"
  • "I need messininns" --> he needs his allergy medicine...messininns...so cute!
  • Whenever asked a "why" question his response is "why not?" --> great strategy, kid
  • "I get my sock ball, be RIGHT back" --> SOCCER ball
  • "You go time out, Mommy" -- > thanks.  can i take a nap, too?
And our all-time favorite:
  • "NO" --> no further explanation needed
Here are some recent videos of him talking and singing our favorite Daniel Tiger song.

Happy Sunday -- it's another four-day work week for the Team as "The Original 4/16" and Auntie Sherry arrive Thursday night!!! :)

Deck The Halls '13

Fa, la, la, la, laaa...la, la, la, la.  Christmas decorating came a bit early this year but we wanted to be adequately prepared for Uncle Jeff's arrival tomorrow -- and also, Easton is lovin' him some Christmas...and Santa...and talking about presents...which, in turn, allows us to talk about him being good for Santa and said presents. "No, Mom, I got this" I obviously got dressed up for the occasion...honestly, as long as the Christmas tree hat is on I could care less what I'm wearing. :) A quick little stroll down memory lane.  Love you, Gramie! E putting his "First Christmas" ornament up Just a little nostalgia -- this is the chair we did all his monthly shots in And a bonus shot (thanks for sticking around so long).  Little man's toe nail is no where to be found.  So strange. You're welcome, E. Love, Mom.

Trunk or Treat 2013

We just got back from Trunk or Treating at Easton's daycare...how flippin' fun (and pretty roarsome as Henry Hugglemonster would say). Mr. Blondie waiting for the trunk or treating to begin! Still figuring out that the chocolate must be unwrapped first. No hurry to explain :) Homeless Lion with a Market Basket bag. Score one for the parents. Some pretty creative pumpkins!

Little Slugger

Considering the World Series may come to a conclusion soon I figured I should get these photos up while baseball's still being played.  Though he's not throwin' from the mound with his left (yet) he is definitely a natural left-hand batter.  Daddy and Grapes are stoked.
