30 weeks! So we've made it to 30 weeks - holy crap!!!  We've started seeing our doctor every 2 weeks now as this scary event called childbirth rapidly approaches! I'm weighing in at a solid 136 lbs these days which is an increase of about 15 lbs so far. Our doctor told me to get ready for the pounds to come as Baby Anders will double his weight in this third and final trimester. I read on our weekly BabyCenter email today that if the baby kept growing at his current rate he'd weigh 200 lbs by his 1st birthday. Yikes! Physically, I'm feeling pretty good and able to get a few walks in per week for some sort of exercise but I CANNOT wait to get back to running.  I think I might just sprint around the apartment complex once I'm back to normal!! Being uncomfortable most of the day is getting old fast but the fear of labor is what weighs most heavily on my mind these days.  It's just so overwhelming to think about - so I won't/don't.  So far no pr...

Oh the snow...  Nothing new to report, same ole, same ole, but wanted to share some more pictures as the snow continues to build outside our apartment.  Can't wait to see the look on my Mom's face when she arrives from Arizona in two weeks to see this for herself!  Enjoy and stay safe everyone!

This past weekend was our Hanscom family's annual ski trip.  Much like last year, it consisted of some cocktails, Lots of sugary snacks, Some friendly competition, One pregnant woman, And, of course, some skiing & snowboarding! Danny Kent, Matt Bader, Heidi Bader, Jace Anders, Crystal Ornelas, Peter Foster, Liz Damato, Brian Reese & Danielle Reese So here's a quick recap of the weekend's festivities.  We had 5 couples for this year's trip to Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow, VT . Pete & Crystal Matt & Heidi DK & Liz Ali & Jace Brian & Danielle Friday night was a great time.  We laughed a lot, drank a lot (H2O for me peeps, no worries), ordered some Wicked Good pizza , watched the NHL all-star game draft (professional athletes picked their team as if they were playing kickball in the playground - sucks to get picked last on national television) and played Tabo...

Whoo Hoo!!! Our new camera arrived today and needless to say I wasted no time snapping lots of photos and trying to figure out all the settings. Just wanted to share one of my favorites from the day...

Jace has been in MN since Thursday braving the cold with  Team Franchise at the 2011 US Pond Hockey Championship .  The team made it to Sunday again this year but unfortunately couldn't get by the "Pulled Hammies" this morning to advance to the finals.  Better luck next year, boys! :( So, since he's been gone I've been catching up on projects around the homestead since it's been so damn cold outside.  On Thursday night I scanned in about 80 old family photos that I had received over the years from my Aunt Kathleen.  I decided to do this because I'm building an online baby book for mini-Ma$e and you can add pictures - thought it'd be fun to add some old family photos.  Anyway, I won't overload you with too many but here are some of my favorites...the rest can be viewed here . Image via CrunchBase For all of you iPhone users out there I've found a new app that I've been recently having a lot of fun with.  It's called Instagram (from Burbn, Inc.) and best of all it's FREE. From what I've read the app is meant to be used as a sort of social-networking via photos type app but I find myself just using it to toy with my existing pictures and not sharing them via the app.  Makes me feel like a cool hipster photographer when in reality I'm still kickin it with my Panasonic "point-and-shoot" digital camera (hoping to change that this weekend...more to come on that but here's a sneak preview ). Instagram offers 14 different filters and they're all super fun to play around with.   Kinda fun, kinda dorky...KINDA how I'd describe myself!  ;) Here are a few examples :
