The Nursery Is Ready!

These past 48 hours were a complete whirlwind but SO MUCH FUN!  My Mom flew in Monday evening for a quick 2-day trip to help her artistically challenged daughter decorate and accessorize Baby Anders' nursery.  Mission accomplished!  Unlike the weekend with my Dad there really aren't too many details to recap beyond "WE WENT SHOPPING"! From Babies 'R Us to Target to TJ Maxx/HomeGoods there was little time for much else...well except a break to create some dark chocolate dipped marshmallows and pretzels last night!

It was such a fun time and I can't put into words how much it meant to have my Mom here to prepare us for such a life-changing event.  It's such a wonderful feeling to walk into the baby's room and know she made it look the way it does - especially since we live so far apart right now!  So without further rambles here are the pics of our finished nursery (and a quick highlight of Jace putting our stroller together - LOVE!).

Thanks, Mom!!!

Crib mobile

The raccoon reminded us of Rae...so we bought it!

We've got wheels!!

Deck The Halls '13

Fa, la, la, la, laaa...la, la, la, la.  Christmas decorating came a bit early this year but we wanted to be adequately prepared for Uncle Jeff's arrival tomorrow -- and also, Easton is lovin' him some Christmas...and Santa...and talking about presents...which, in turn, allows us to talk about him being good for Santa and said presents. "No, Mom, I got this" I obviously got dressed up for the occasion...honestly, as long as the Christmas tree hat is on I could care less what I'm wearing. :) A quick little stroll down memory lane.  Love you, Gramie! E putting his "First Christmas" ornament up Just a little nostalgia -- this is the chair we did all his monthly shots in And a bonus shot (thanks for sticking around so long).  Little man's toe nail is no where to be found.  So strange. You're welcome, E. Love, Mom.

Trunk or Treat 2013

We just got back from Trunk or Treating at Easton's daycare...how flippin' fun (and pretty roarsome as Henry Hugglemonster would say). Mr. Blondie waiting for the trunk or treating to begin! Still figuring out that the chocolate must be unwrapped first. No hurry to explain :) Homeless Lion with a Market Basket bag. Score one for the parents. Some pretty creative pumpkins!

Little Slugger

Considering the World Series may come to a conclusion soon I figured I should get these photos up while baseball's still being played.  Though he's not throwin' from the mound with his left (yet) he is definitely a natural left-hand batter.  Daddy and Grapes are stoked.
