And Then There Were Three...

Happy Sunday everyone!  Well the whirlwind of visitors has finally ended at the Team Anders household.  It was wonderful for all of us to have our parents visit but I must say it's nice to have our space back. This past week was Grandma Jan's chance to meet her grandson and we had a very laid back few days. Unfortunately, the weather was just horrid in Boston so we never got a chance to take a walk before Jan left on Thursday (and I realize in writing this that I was also AWFUL with taking photos - sorry). We did log some quality time with the Today Show, caught up with Rachael Ray every morning and then made ourselves terribly hungry watching the Food Network until Jace got home. Watching so many cooking shows motivated me to make dinner every night though so that was great.  We had Baked Pasta with Chicken Sausage on Tuesday and Lasagna Primavera on Wednesday!  Loved having time to get back in the kitchen...and to have someone to cook for that doesn't mind a little spinach or onions in the dish! Thanks for all your help, Grandma Jan.

Easton was sad to see all his grandparents go but had me put together a little video of all their visits to say THANK YOU SO MUCH!  Check it out below...

From Grandparents

On Friday the sun finally broke through the clouds so E, Rae and I got out for a nice walk.  My back is finally feeling better and I was actually able to jog twice earlier in the week.  It felt pretty good to actually break a sweat while exercising!  Friday was also my first Girls Night Out since E was born.  A few of us girls headed up to the Venetian Moon in Reading for dinner and drinks.  Jace had the guys over to hold down the fort while we headed out and it was good for both of us to revive a little bit of our social life.  On that note, we've also begun the process to find a local babysitter so we can slowly start to head back out on our Thursday "date nights"and an occasional weekend get together or what not.  Mom and Dad time is very important to both of us so we're really looking forward to getting the details all ironed out.  We are using the Care.com website which has been amazing for us - and they even gave us a month membership free for being in the military!  Excellent :)

On Saturday Easton turned five weeks old and he seems to be growing bigger by the hour!  I started packing up his newborn sized clothing earlier in the week - WOW!   He's on a recent kick of eating every two hours (even throughout the night) and continues improving his ability to hold his head up.  There are more smiles and little "cooing" noises with each day, too.  We've completely made the transition to formula and all seems well with that...so far, so good!  All-in-all things are pretty great here with Team Anders.  So I won't bore you with anymore words...here are some random photos and another short video from this morning.

Deck The Halls '13

Fa, la, la, la, laaa...la, la, la, la.  Christmas decorating came a bit early this year but we wanted to be adequately prepared for Uncle Jeff's arrival tomorrow -- and also, Easton is lovin' him some Christmas...and Santa...and talking about presents...which, in turn, allows us to talk about him being good for Santa and said presents. "No, Mom, I got this" I obviously got dressed up for the occasion...honestly, as long as the Christmas tree hat is on I could care less what I'm wearing. :) A quick little stroll down memory lane.  Love you, Gramie! E putting his "First Christmas" ornament up Just a little nostalgia -- this is the chair we did all his monthly shots in And a bonus shot (thanks for sticking around so long).  Little man's toe nail is no where to be found.  So strange. You're welcome, E. Love, Mom.

Trunk or Treat 2013

We just got back from Trunk or Treating at Easton's daycare...how flippin' fun (and pretty roarsome as Henry Hugglemonster would say). Mr. Blondie waiting for the trunk or treating to begin! Still figuring out that the chocolate must be unwrapped first. No hurry to explain :) Homeless Lion with a Market Basket bag. Score one for the parents. Some pretty creative pumpkins!

Little Slugger

Considering the World Series may come to a conclusion soon I figured I should get these photos up while baseball's still being played.  Though he's not throwin' from the mound with his left (yet) he is definitely a natural left-hand batter.  Daddy and Grapes are stoked.
