Saturday "Gymnastics"

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all are having a great day.  I'm going to whine for a second so fast forward to the third paragraph if you're over it.

We had an interesting early morning when little E woke us up again with another vomiting spell. He had one earlier in the week (Weds night) and we're beginning to think the little man is allergic to strawberries! So strange because up to this point in his life he's dominated those sweet little berries with no problem whatsoever. We'll continue to monitor but such a bummer for the little dude. On top of him being up for four rounds of fun last night our furnace stopped working this morning and it was a balmy 59 degrees in the house. Sweet! Jace and I both continue to battle the upper respiratory crud while we battle through this cleanse. Is it June yet? I'm ready for our anniversary trip!!

Where you will find Jace & me this June. There WILL
be a permanent butt mark on my lounger after we leave.
Ok so hopefully you skipped that part and have found yourself to the good part of this post...the fun pictures.  As I mentioned yesterday, Easton and our friends' daughter Kathleen are enrolled in a tiny tots "gymnastics" class at the local gymnastics club. The class is 45 minutes of balancing, jumping, rolling and general large motor skill building activities. Kathleen is an absolute riot to watch...a little daredevil!! I love it. E takes his time on stuff and loves to have "daddy hand" when thinking about jumping off the bigger blocks/equipment. After the kids rotate through two different "courses" they move on to the large tumble tramp and enjoy practicing their "rocketships", "tuck jumps" and "open/close" -- all of which just end up being a big ole sprint to the end where they can jump on the cushy mat. After tumble tramp time the kiddos get to jump in the big kid pit and Easton loves jumping in with Jace or being thrown in for Jace to catch him.  Kathleen just jumps, and jumps and jumps on her own. She's rad! Here's a look at some of their activities. I really need to work on my photography when the subject is moving. All my shots are totally blurred out.

Hope these make you smile as much as they make me!!

  1. Puking toddlers are the worst. Do you think it's the berries, or just maybe a virus? Hopefully a virus. The bug my kids had in Novemeber, came back in December. Lots of puking fun around here. Fingers crossed it's all out and over with! Stay healthy. So jealous of your anniversary vacay. I need a beach STAT!

Deck The Halls '13

Fa, la, la, la, laaa...la, la, la, la.  Christmas decorating came a bit early this year but we wanted to be adequately prepared for Uncle Jeff's arrival tomorrow -- and also, Easton is lovin' him some Christmas...and Santa...and talking about presents...which, in turn, allows us to talk about him being good for Santa and said presents. "No, Mom, I got this" I obviously got dressed up for the occasion...honestly, as long as the Christmas tree hat is on I could care less what I'm wearing. :) A quick little stroll down memory lane.  Love you, Gramie! E putting his "First Christmas" ornament up Just a little nostalgia -- this is the chair we did all his monthly shots in And a bonus shot (thanks for sticking around so long).  Little man's toe nail is no where to be found.  So strange. You're welcome, E. Love, Mom.

Trunk or Treat 2013

We just got back from Trunk or Treating at Easton's daycare...how flippin' fun (and pretty roarsome as Henry Hugglemonster would say). Mr. Blondie waiting for the trunk or treating to begin! Still figuring out that the chocolate must be unwrapped first. No hurry to explain :) Homeless Lion with a Market Basket bag. Score one for the parents. Some pretty creative pumpkins!

Little Slugger

Considering the World Series may come to a conclusion soon I figured I should get these photos up while baseball's still being played.  Though he's not throwin' from the mound with his left (yet) he is definitely a natural left-hand batter.  Daddy and Grapes are stoked.
