Happy Birthday, Mr. President

Date day. We both wore jeans. Whaaaat?!?
This was my Project 365 shot today -- #best_dressed. HA!
Thank you George Washington (and all you other presidents) for the day off today!! Jace and I had a wonderful time with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence while Easton played with his friends at school. After the movie we cruised around The Greene where I shopped but didn't buy anything and Jace got himself a new jersey. Yes. Another one. I have such a hard time buying clothes any more...unless I'm at Kohl's with a 30% off coupon totally stoked about how much I've "saved"! Regardless where I shop the clothes just end up hanging in my closet with no where to go.

But anyway, let me tell you about our week/weekend. The week was long...really long...but Jace became an ordained minister so there's that... McChesney wedding here we come...

I'm not sure whether the press pass or parking
permit made me laugh harder
But you've got to love Friday!! Since Jace has wrapped up the Challenge we celebrated with drinks at The Pub and a fabulous meal at Flemings. He even ate dessert. Two beers and a glass of wine and I woke up with a sweeeeet headache on Saturday morning...when did I turn 80?

Of course, Easton was up at 5:30. He'd have it no other way, our little homie. :) So we fired up the toaster for some "wakkles" and the Keurig for Mommy. The cold and snowy day lent itself to plenty of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, "moo" time and reading but we did manage to get outside for a few minutes here and there.

Loves his new light switch Mickey book! His posture makes me think
he's been secretly watching Downton Abbey over my shoulder...
Which one do you like best?
I just read about silhouette shots and thought I'd try it.
Eventually 4 o'clock rolled around and it was time to show Easton what Clune Arena looks (and sounds) like when it's sold out. The Falcons took on #24 CSU and lost a pretty heartbreaking game. We were cheering as loudly as we could from Ohio, fellas!!

Goooo Falcons!!!

Jace has taught Easton to say "deuces"...so he now throws
his hands up and yells it at random moments. too funny.
About "deuces"...sit tight and let me bring the Urban Dictionary to you:
"Deuces" -- when someone holds up two fingers symbolizing "peace" when leaving an establishment, "deuces" is often said.
My man. Speaking from the Urban Dictionary. Straight Gangsta.

Moving on...Saturday night I stayed up WAY too late redesigning the blog once again. I am liking this new, simpler design even more than before. And I added the sweet little picture of E that will link to his "monthlies". Hope you like it.

And just like that...Easton was up Sunday at 5:45am. WHEN WILL I LEARN?!?

We did a whole lot of nothing on Sunday morning/afternoon but after nap time we headed out for a new Anders Family adventure. Scene 75's Toddler Town was our destination and it didn't disappoint. Though E wasn't quite ready to bounce around all by his lonesome he had a lot of fun watching the other kids and playing on the entrances to the bouncy houses. The Team will be back for sure!

Just takin' it in...like he does :)

How about I just climb up on this entrance part...

...and then slide right down?

Loved this little wall toy!

So that was our weekend. In looking back I can't believe it was just about a year ago when we found out we were moving back to Ohio...I'll never forget the interview and the follow-on call telling me I was hired. It's funny that the same process has begun for this summer's hires -- the boss just did about 10 interviews last week. Oh how quickly these assignments go!!

I hope you all had a great weekend and I'll leave you with this atrociously bad video recording of Easton counting and saying his ABCs. Enjoy!
