Cheese!!!

Yeay for weekends...and randomness...and best friends... Rockin' Daddy's hat - my new favorite picture Quite possibly his most classy look to date No event is ever complete without trying to eat something that isn't edible Took this to show off his little curls. Jace wants to cut them. I told him he'd be politely excused from the family if scissors come anywhere near these beauties! Pissed because Mom & Dad won't let me go play in the snow... C'mon please? Hey neighbors! Check out my monster jams Easton's favorite corner @ daycare. I mean it's an immediate bee-line to those tubs of toys every morning Easton's primary teacher - Mrs. Santa She's also teaching him Spanish Easton's other teacher - Mrs. Diane. She takes such great care of him :) Mrs. Santa made these "toys" for E. They've been a HUGE hit -- and gotta love the price To the best friend portion of that o...

Sleepy Baby, Lazy Mommy

Hi everyone! Not thrilled about this post tonight -- not my best work :( All week Easton's been falling asleep in the car on the way home from daycare and I've been beyond lazy about taking photos (probably didn't help that I had to work yesterday). So here's a fun little comparison shot of how big the Little Homie's getting...hence last week's request for car seat top picks and my recent Facebook request for bigger car recommendations! Dang these little fellers grow fast!!! 3 days old... 10 months, 1 week... On the "new job" front I received my assignment notice on Tuesday with a report date no later than 11 May 12 so let the flurry of PCS preparations commence! Jace isn't locked in 100% with a job at Wright Patt yet but all signs are pointing towards employment ;) Keeping the faith that all will work out for us! Helping us move into a new place will be a great project for my Mom while her sailor heads off on his next Navy adventure this...

Watch Me Grow...10 Months

19 Feb 12 - 10 months, 2 days old ~21 lbs and wearing mostly 12 month old clothes (some pants are too big) Easton turned 10 months old last Wednesday but we didn't get around to having our full-on photo shoot until his schedule opened up yesterday morning. He and his assistant have been so busy walking all over the house and when he finally slows down for a minute, well, then he's always yapping with someone so I feel bad interrupting. Things I think he may be talking about but can't quite make sense of his sentences yet: How his assistant is so helpful but starting to annoy him so he might go solo soon Wondering what these two, hard white things are emerging from his upper gums - ouch Impressed with the increased accuracy of Cheerios getting into his mouth now that he can use his pointer finger and thumb together How rad his new little StrideRite's are...oh yea...size 4m...no big deal Ha!! Seriously though, so much going on here and Easton continues to ...

Valentines Day Surprise!!

So...even better than chocolates...Team Anders is moving to Dayton this summer!! Yeay!!! Just received the good news today and we're both so excited to be headed back to the midwest. I'm very excited for the opportunity to work for the inbound AFMC Commander General (select) Wolfenbarger . Talk about impressive...if confirmed by the Senate she will be the Air Force's first female four-star general. Also near and dear to my heart she was a member of the first graduating class of women at USAFA (1980) -- thanks to all those who endured those four years of absolute hell and paved the way for so many of us. ;) Ok so just wanted to let you all know our super news. No details yet on the dates (assume June for now) and the specifics on what both Jace and I will be doing but will be sure to keep you all updated in our weeklys!! And...while I've got you here...check out how excited Easton is (video):

Our Little Valentine

Jace and I don't do Valentine's Day...except for the year of the "hand card" and I think that's the year that did us in. Inside joke, sorry. This year we still won't be doing anything for the Hallmark holiday buuuut that doesn't mean that our family didn't want to spoil our little man. Check out these shots of little eSmallz getting spoiled with some McChesney Valentine's Day love! Thanks so much Auntie Sherry and Uncle Wayne -- and sorry we opened them a bit early, we just couldn't resist!! Of course I'll be your valentine, Auntie Sherry!!! No, seriously, Dad, I still don't know what you want me to do with this Oh...just rip it? That's all...uh... Yea I can do that! Thanks for the help - promise I'll figure this out real soon Books!!! Yeay!!! Spot books. So cute. Perfect for us :) And oh so tasty, too! ;) Uncle DK helping Easton read Spot. Adorable. In other news, Easton's got ...

Love You, Uncle Jeff!

Watch out, Mama's found Photoshop Express online... Our week wasn't much to write about but that's OK because our weekend made up for it! Jeff broke away from the sunny  DR  and came to Boston for a visit. We logged some serious hours with little man...and when he was sleeping some serious hours on the couches. JT was the perfect playmate -- I don't think I've heard Easton laugh so much in his 9.5 months!! He was Super Uncle and I'm so sad to see him go tomorrow...morning...0400...love ya, Little Bro ;) Here's the weekend in pictures SO MUCH FUN! Instant BFFs - Mom was old news at this point (yea, it's 8:30 AM) Having a heart-to-heart about why wall outlets aren't toys Easton likes Diesel, too Fun "sketch" edit Look at the happiness on this kid's face!! And on this kid's face, too ;) Easton's favorite book "Where's Dave" Rae's favorite treat...anything on Easton...
