Slow Your Roll, Son

It's no joke that kids grow so fast!  I swear when I unwrap our little guy from his cute little polka-dotted sleep sack every morning he's gained 5 lbs and grown 2 inches!  The best part, though, is watching him continue to learn new things and he surprised the crap out of good 'ole Mom & Dad last night when he did this (there's a video here all you e-mail subscribers)...

We also had our first Mommy & Baby Yoga class this week.  It was nice and relaxing but my favorite part was looking at all the other babies there. They were all so cute and it was hilarious to hear these random baby coos and squeaks as our instructor was guiding us through a relaxing meditation at the end of class. I've gotta give it to our instructor, she was great at the guided meditation.  I found myself with my toes buried in the cool sand of Sandy's Landing, watching my entire family enjoy a hot August summer (while swatting at the occasional horsefly). Came out of my meditation at Mommy & Baby Yoga as the loser with a tear streaming down my cheek...damn I miss that place!  Anyway,we have two more classes to go in this session and after that we probably won't go back (need a little more challenging practice) but I'm glad we tried it out.

My "happy place"
This week also found us wondering if our apartment building was going to get blasted by a tornado.  Fortunately we didn't experience any real severe weather here in Reading but did have a front row view of the crazy storm clouds and lightening from our balcony.  Here are a few shots right around sunset... I'd kindly ask you request my permission before reusing these shots (that was a joke).

There's a jet in this photo...must have been
a great show for those pilots & passengers

Well we're officially heading out for our first "pay a babysitter date night" so I must take my tush to the shower.  Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend...I'll let Easton say adios!

Deck The Halls '13

Fa, la, la, la, laaa...la, la, la, la.  Christmas decorating came a bit early this year but we wanted to be adequately prepared for Uncle Jeff's arrival tomorrow -- and also, Easton is lovin' him some Christmas...and Santa...and talking about presents...which, in turn, allows us to talk about him being good for Santa and said presents. "No, Mom, I got this" I obviously got dressed up for the occasion...honestly, as long as the Christmas tree hat is on I could care less what I'm wearing. :) A quick little stroll down memory lane.  Love you, Gramie! E putting his "First Christmas" ornament up Just a little nostalgia -- this is the chair we did all his monthly shots in And a bonus shot (thanks for sticking around so long).  Little man's toe nail is no where to be found.  So strange. You're welcome, E. Love, Mom.

Trunk or Treat 2013

We just got back from Trunk or Treating at Easton's daycare...how flippin' fun (and pretty roarsome as Henry Hugglemonster would say). Mr. Blondie waiting for the trunk or treating to begin! Still figuring out that the chocolate must be unwrapped first. No hurry to explain :) Homeless Lion with a Market Basket bag. Score one for the parents. Some pretty creative pumpkins!

Little Slugger

Considering the World Series may come to a conclusion soon I figured I should get these photos up while baseball's still being played.  Though he's not throwin' from the mound with his left (yet) he is definitely a natural left-hand batter.  Daddy and Grapes are stoked.
