Watch Me Grow...3 Months

3 Months - 16 Jul 11
Sayonara, "4th Trimester", Smalls is three months old!! We have so many dang nicknames for this kid that I'm pretty sure his first "Hello..." name tag's gonna look something like this:

Ok, moment of truth...let's see how big our little homie has gotten:

Alright, well, doesn't seem that he's gotten that much bigger but the changes in his motor skills development have been a little more noticeable. He's now able to grip and hold on to toys (right now his Air Force bear and Goldy the Gopher are in a heated battle for his affections) and he's also starting to put almost everything he can find into his mouth...to include his entire hand! One of these days he's going to finally figure out that he cannot milk his fingers... Smalls is rolling over almost every time he's on his tummy and is cooing and squeaking all the time. He's still spitting up quite a bit though so that stinks (literally). Felt so bad for him tonight...He was all swaddled and I burped him while he was was pretty much face-flat on my shoulder..."Burp!"...I pick him up and there's puke all over his face - to include in his eyeball!! #momfail :(

Here's a video (about 1 minute) of him throwing some keys and holding his rattle...exciting for me, possibly dull for you!

Anywhoo...it's been an action packed 3rd month to say the least. I started work and already left on a week-long TDY (translated: work trip...temporary duty) to O'Fallon, IL and Oklahoma City, OK with a few more on the horizon, unfortunately. Jace killed it as single dad for the week though and I can really tell by the way Easton lights up when Daddy walks in the room that the two did some serious bonding. Watching the two of them makes me so happy...Jace is such a great dad. :)

My Twins gear finally fits!!

Yea, right there...yep, that's perfect...thanks, Dad!

Sup, Dusty?
So freaking happy we have the
MLB Extra Innings package
Well it's gettin late here so it's off to bed for los padres...yep started this post in japanese and am now ending in spanish...no big deal. HA. Much love, peeps!
Seriously, Mom...a blue dog?!

I think the car seat is the best
growth chart!
P.S. If you've read this far and want to help me out with something please tell me which one of these layouts you like the best (please leave as a comment in blog if you can). I've spray-painted the letters/frames brown and plan to hang the arrangement over Easton's changing table.
Table is 5 feet wide

  4. Loving your blog Ali. You and Jace seem to really have this parenting thing down - I especially like the educational TV he's watching with Daddy! I'd go for #2. I like #4 too, but I would put the E in the top-middle and D and A on the bottom corners. Hope to see you soon once we're in the same country (and same coast) again! love ya, Sara

Deck The Halls '13

Fa, la, la, la, laaa...la, la, la, la.  Christmas decorating came a bit early this year but we wanted to be adequately prepared for Uncle Jeff's arrival tomorrow -- and also, Easton is lovin' him some Christmas...and Santa...and talking about presents...which, in turn, allows us to talk about him being good for Santa and said presents. "No, Mom, I got this" I obviously got dressed up for the occasion...honestly, as long as the Christmas tree hat is on I could care less what I'm wearing. :) A quick little stroll down memory lane.  Love you, Gramie! E putting his "First Christmas" ornament up Just a little nostalgia -- this is the chair we did all his monthly shots in And a bonus shot (thanks for sticking around so long).  Little man's toe nail is no where to be found.  So strange. You're welcome, E. Love, Mom.

Trunk or Treat 2013

We just got back from Trunk or Treating at Easton's daycare...how flippin' fun (and pretty roarsome as Henry Hugglemonster would say). Mr. Blondie waiting for the trunk or treating to begin! Still figuring out that the chocolate must be unwrapped first. No hurry to explain :) Homeless Lion with a Market Basket bag. Score one for the parents. Some pretty creative pumpkins!

Little Slugger

Considering the World Series may come to a conclusion soon I figured I should get these photos up while baseball's still being played.  Though he's not throwin' from the mound with his left (yet) he is definitely a natural left-hand batter.  Daddy and Grapes are stoked.
