Peanut

After today's earlier post I'm running short on time so gonna hit you all up with the Cliff Notes version of my week and Easton's 21st week of life (plus I'm sure you're in need of a break from my ramblings...it's really a win for both sides).

1. Went back to the doctor for E's 2-week weigh in after switching formula. Result = zero weight gain. #momfail So...it's on to two servings of rice cereal and an extra bottle @ night. Recent culinary explorations include sweet potatoes and avocados - both a smashing success! (VIDEO BELOW)

Yea, I want that, quit asking and FEED ME

Thx, Dad.
On second thought...just give me the dang spoon

Enter "sibling" rivalry

Such a tease...
2. It's the start of the NFL season so Jace taught Easton a little about his favorite hobby...
Discussing the finer points of the fantasy draft...I'd restrict
it to football BUT I do believe Jace even has a fantasy
cricket team so keeping the lesson general

Oh yea...we're ready...

3. Since last week's mastery of the "back to front" Easton's added two new tricks to his bag...

WHOA...Sleeping on his belly! = CUTE

WHOA...flipping over IN HIS SWING!
CUTE...but not cool :(
***No worries, I was watching this entire thing
happen so he was safe
***
4. Saturday marked the 1 year anniversary of my dad's commissioning!! To celebrate the event he spent the weekend in Tucson in his dress whites...HA! So I just tried to link back to the post I wrote on my Dad's ceremony and OMG I never wrote one...WHAAAAT? Now I remember I just posted to photos to Facebook and called it a day...#daughterfail. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day - it was super special :)
Before the ceremony...no rank, no name tag, no big deal ;)

Dad & his big brother Terry (ex-Navy pilot)

National Anthem

Administering the Oath of Office - yea, I'm a cheater :(

We did it, we did it!!! :)

Coolest pin-on EVER

Sign it away, LT. ;) Now it's official

One of my most favorite pictures of all time :) LOVE

The man doesn't look retired to me! ;)
5. I could see my breath this morning when I took Rae out at 0600. Fall is almost here...YEAY!
6. Totally random BUT...if you like veggies and are also pretty lazy when you don't have to cook a meal for your family these Garden Lites frozen veggie soufflés are capital "E"-asy and super yum-o!
> my fav so far is the butternut squash action
6. I occupied my time this weekend with a few walks and LOTS of photos:
This was last weekend but it was repeated
this weekend so it works :)

Tried my best to get these two boogers in the same shot...
not my best work

Hey!

Ok, seriously, can we put a moratorium on pants with
animals on the butt? (uh...no, son, but thanks for asking)

Practicing his best turtle pose

TC, would you like to come play under my bees?

No, really, they're so fun...they play music when you smack
the crap out of them...it's pretty rad

Have a great week everyone!!!

Deck The Halls '13

Fa, la, la, la, laaa...la, la, la, la.  Christmas decorating came a bit early this year but we wanted to be adequately prepared for Uncle Jeff's arrival tomorrow -- and also, Easton is lovin' him some Christmas...and Santa...and talking about presents...which, in turn, allows us to talk about him being good for Santa and said presents. "No, Mom, I got this" I obviously got dressed up for the occasion...honestly, as long as the Christmas tree hat is on I could care less what I'm wearing. :) A quick little stroll down memory lane.  Love you, Gramie! E putting his "First Christmas" ornament up Just a little nostalgia -- this is the chair we did all his monthly shots in And a bonus shot (thanks for sticking around so long).  Little man's toe nail is no where to be found.  So strange. You're welcome, E. Love, Mom.

Trunk or Treat 2013

We just got back from Trunk or Treating at Easton's daycare...how flippin' fun (and pretty roarsome as Henry Hugglemonster would say). Mr. Blondie waiting for the trunk or treating to begin! Still figuring out that the chocolate must be unwrapped first. No hurry to explain :) Homeless Lion with a Market Basket bag. Score one for the parents. Some pretty creative pumpkins!

Little Slugger

Considering the World Series may come to a conclusion soon I figured I should get these photos up while baseball's still being played.  Though he's not throwin' from the mound with his left (yet) he is definitely a natural left-hand batter.  Daddy and Grapes are stoked.
