Down With the Sickness

Well our little guy is on the mend and acting like his normal happy self but this week was a rough one for little eSmallz. He's been battling what seems to be the standard-issue upper respiratory infection all the kids around Hanscom are currently rockin'. Won't complain though because one of the little girls in his room came down with bronchitis and pneumonia last week!! Poor little thing. Easton's sickness started on Monday and he finally just started acting like himself this afternoon. Threw the co-captains for quite the loop I must say. We did a well orchestrated dance of each working half-days and tagging the other out each day around 10:00 AM. Thank goodness for understanding bosses...and VPN connections!! So glad that Easton's feeling better though...my heart's been breaking for the little dude all week...though I managed to score some MAJOR cuddles from the little cutie. Crappy circumstances but what a wonderful feeling to know he felt better being close to mommy :)

Not feeling well at all :(

Snoozing while supervising Mommy

Hey, hey, everyone!! I'm back in the game...
Feeling sooooo much better :)
And I think I know what helped boost his spirits...Christmas in January!!! Yes, that's right, we had one last round of gifts from Santa (Grandma Jan) that made their way here from the North Pole via Minneapolis. We got super spoiled with some great Vikings and Gopher gear...and my favorite were Easton's "SLP" orange slippers! Thanks so much, Grandma Jan...you really spoiled us!!!

Check it out - Christmas in January:

Thanks, Ma!

I'm speechless...I mean, those slippers...
once his feet get bigger he's wearing them to school...
don't care if it's the middle of summer...

Not quite 100% yet but at least you can see
his eyes...improvement (Saturday morning)

Love!!!

This one's for you, Dad :) That a lot of purple, I know...

Gopher slippers...with pom-pons on the left
and the "M" on the right...

Rae even got a gift...though we haven't seen it since this picture
she loves to bury new toys

New hat and scarf! Thanks, Jan :) Now all we need is some
snow around here
So that's about all I have time for today...yea, I know, not my best work...but gots to study for another ACSC test coming up on Tuesday. Work's been so nuts that I'm a bit nervous about this test. C'mon 70%!!! If I pass my reward will be a visit from Uncle Jeff on Friday...and if I fail I'll be consoled by Uncle Jeff this Friday!!! Win-win ;) See you soon, Jeffey... g'night all :)

Deck The Halls '13

Fa, la, la, la, laaa...la, la, la, la.  Christmas decorating came a bit early this year but we wanted to be adequately prepared for Uncle Jeff's arrival tomorrow -- and also, Easton is lovin' him some Christmas...and Santa...and talking about presents...which, in turn, allows us to talk about him being good for Santa and said presents. "No, Mom, I got this" I obviously got dressed up for the occasion...honestly, as long as the Christmas tree hat is on I could care less what I'm wearing. :) A quick little stroll down memory lane.  Love you, Gramie! E putting his "First Christmas" ornament up Just a little nostalgia -- this is the chair we did all his monthly shots in And a bonus shot (thanks for sticking around so long).  Little man's toe nail is no where to be found.  So strange. You're welcome, E. Love, Mom.

Trunk or Treat 2013

We just got back from Trunk or Treating at Easton's daycare...how flippin' fun (and pretty roarsome as Henry Hugglemonster would say). Mr. Blondie waiting for the trunk or treating to begin! Still figuring out that the chocolate must be unwrapped first. No hurry to explain :) Homeless Lion with a Market Basket bag. Score one for the parents. Some pretty creative pumpkins!

Little Slugger

Considering the World Series may come to a conclusion soon I figured I should get these photos up while baseball's still being played.  Though he's not throwin' from the mound with his left (yet) he is definitely a natural left-hand batter.  Daddy and Grapes are stoked.
